A groundbreaking initiative driven by a group of Syrian refugees and Swedish eco-activists in Uppsala, Sweden. Their goal: to achieve a fully functioning ecovillage, combining craftsmanship with job opportunities and accommodation for its residents. The project has promising potential to serve as a model across Europe to empower refugees to take control of their own lives, integrate into society, and do so in a dignified, inexpensive and ecologically sustainable way.
