Kid Warrior Demands Greener Policy from our World’s Leaders

Xiuhtezcatl Martinez is not your average 14-year-old. He is mobilising his army of teens in 25 countries to demand greener policy from our world’s leaders. Xiuhtezcatl is the youth director of Earth Guardians, a nonprofit that encourages young people to connect and become involved in environmental activism. In 2013 he received the “Youth Change Maker of the Year” award from President Obama. Watch video

Aya Chebbi, a young Tunisian leader of great courage and audacity, speaks passionately about rewriting history to make it right for future generations. What we call 'Arab Spring', Aya's generation calls a 'Revolution of Dignity'. Her 4-minute speech was given at the UN Women event, 10 March, 'Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality,' to mark the 20th anniversary of the historic Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, which led to a blueprint for advancing women's rights.
