From 27 September to 3 October 2014, the Findhorn Foundation is hosting the New Story Summit – a gift economy event.
The response so far has been phenomenal – our 340 event places are full and there are over 100 on the waiting list. We are taking this as a sign that the zeitgeist is with our theme and are eager to extend its reach to include more of those who feel called to engage.
The Summit will have eight major themes we are calling in and three movements; Sowing the Seeds, Emergence and Weaving the Threads.
We will be web streaming the first three days of the Summit, during our Sowing the Seeds time. Invited storytellers such as Jonathon Porritt, Elisabet Sahtouris, Charles Eisenstein, Polly Higgins, Satish Kumar and others from around the world will offer insights on existing and emerging threads of the New Story for humanity (see the full list of storytellers). You are invited to tune in for as much of this ‘Seeding’ as will be helpful for your Hub.
The first three days will be web streamed from Saturday 27- Monday 29 September:-
- Saturday 2.00pm-5.30pm and 7.30pm-10.00pm
- Sunday 9.00am-11.00am and 7.45pm-10.00pm
- Monday 9.00am-12.30pm
All times are UK summertime (GMT+1), and the sessions will also be available for later viewing.
As the Summit moves into Emergence on days four and five, Summit Hubs might create their own parallel process around emerging themes of interest, supported by videos and written descriptions of helpful processes and exercises which will be posted on this site over the next few months. Alternatively, Hubs may choose to source their own collective wisdom and/or bring in local resources to design a bespoke journey as appropriate for each.
These options can be for whatever time frame suits your group.
On days six and seven, Thursday and Friday, we will be Weaving the Threads – finding ways to share our discoveries and dream into positive actions to take us back out into the world. Hubs will be invited to share learnings, ideas and emerging networks and projects on this site, and some parts of this will also be web streamed for those interested.
We hope that through the Summit itself and as many Summit Hubs as possible we can accelerate the understanding and acceptance of the New Story for the many rather than the few… and to do this while we still have time to engage in a Great Turning, rather than a systemic Great Unravelling.
We intend that the notion of the New Story, in all its varied aspects, enter the mainstream vocabulary as an energising contribution to our conscious evolution on Earth at this crucial time.
The Findhorn Foundation is delighted to gift this Hub invitation to all with no fees or upfront payment for full access to live web streaming and the New Story Hub resources. Every individual and Summit Hub will be invited to tune into what contribution, financial or otherwise, they may want to gift back. Any offerings will go towards covering the cost of the event, supporting the New Story Hub and other outreach projects after the event, and contribute to the ongoing work of the Findhorn Foundation.
We warmly welcome you into the next chapter of the New Story.
