The latter part of the afternoon includes a process led by summit co-focaliser, Yvonne Cuneo, supported by Charles Eisenstein, around the experimental gift economy aspect of the summit.
A group of summit artists perform a musical composition based on the Ben Oki poem, ‘Turn on Your Light’ – a poem that has provided inspiration since the beginning of the summit. Artists include: Martin Barker, Paddy Atkinson, Matthew Bailey, Kira Emslie, Rachel Bagby, Chen Yu and Jonathan Santos.
Finally, Gigi Coyle, summit core team member, holds the celebratory closing ritual of the summit. Findhorn Community Elder, Craig Gibsone, with the support of the indigenous elders, end the summit by closing the alter and closing the four directions which were opened when the summit began seven days ago.
Elder, Gigi Coyle, along with Findhorn community child, Aayana Ito, blow out the summit candle with a blessing for the children – the future generations – and the last sound to fill the Hall is a soft unifying Om and the final invocation: ‘May we continue’.
