Sitting in the Fire

13 April 2021 9 Comments

Beloveds, I want to deeply appreciate those of you who have shared messages of love, support and empathy in the wake of the devastating fires here at Findhorn in the early hours of Monday, 12 April. The outpouring of love from around the world continues to be an ever-present soothing balm and a source of strength. For those who may not be aware, sadly, both our Community Centre and the Main Sanctuary on our Park campus, where I live, and where many of you will have experienced unique moments of … Continue reading

Lockdown Lessons by Anni Campbell

6 April 2021 Leave a Comment

Every year for about four years, I’ve traveled with my sister-in-law to hike for 10 days or so in Northern Scotland, Pembroke coast of Wales, Dingle in Ireland and once in Portugal. Self-guided hikes were also a time when I bonded more deeply with my sister-in-law. She enables me to continue to connect with the wonderful memories I hold … Continue reading

"We live in the time of the ballyhooed Great Reset, a time following when great destruction has cleared the way to build something different – or to lock in the gains of big corporations, central governments, and the super-wealthy. What vision of human development might we hold that expresses devotion to that which we love? "The more we see love made visible around us, the more our own love dares to express itself too. There are places in the world where people live devotionally, holding that … Continue reading

2020 upended every aspect of our lives. Teaching Indigenous Star Stories by Kelly Boutsalis

2 March 2021 Leave a Comment

“An Elder told me that every star you can see with the naked eye had a story, had a constellation, had a name and a teaching attached to it. Due to the historical trauma that happened to our people, anywhere from 75 to 85 percent of that knowledge base was wiped out.” ~ Wilfred Buck, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, northern Manitoba. "Hilding Neilson, a professor at the University of Toronto’s department of astronomy and astrophysics, first met Buck in 2016, at a meeting of the Canadian Astronomical … Continue reading
