As part of our Blog Series, How Findhorn’s New Story Initiative Enhances My Life, we invited community member Margaret Muldoon to share what the New Story means to her at this extraordinary, yet often challenging time in our human evolution….
How did you discover Findhorn’s New Story Initiative?
I came upon the website and found the content resonates with my own journey.
What inspired you to participate in our Living the New Story online learning journeys?
I belong to an International Association of 5 vocations and since 2008 we have been reflecting on the ‘New Story’ and trying to open ourselves to a deeper understanding of the evolving insights and their consequences/implications for our lives and the future of the planet. This echoes with what Findhorn stands for and promotes.
How does our New Story work align with your values?
The group to which I belong has just celebrated 200 years; from our beginning and according to the insights of each time we have been called to love, seek and see God in and through all things; to promote unity in diversity, communion, oneness. Our belief in the interdependence of all life, concern for equality of all peoples, care of Earth, mutual sustainability at all levels …
What contribution has participation in our work made to your life?
It has widened, deepened, enlarged insights coming from many sources, some of which I have not been previously exposed to. It is a source of encouragement to keep walking this evolving path.
What inspires you to continue to gift to us in support of our work into the future?
The belief that we are entering an “era of change” and faith and science need to be interlinked; that we humans have so much to learn; that a changed way of behaviour is called for if we are to save this planet for future generations. Findhorn resonates with that, provides resources and encouragement and brings or links people from many parts of the world on this journey of exploration and enlightenment, so essential today.
Margaret Muldoon has participated in several of our Living the New Story online learning journeys and is a generous supporter of our work and fellow journeyer on the path.
This reflection forms part of our Blog Series, How Findhorn’s New Story Initiative Enhances My Life. We are deeply grateful to Margaret for sharing her wisdom and insights with our Findhorn New Story Community. Be sure to read our other contributions in the Series, generously offered by our ardent supporters of a new story for humanity in these uncertain and changing times.
We are most appreciative of all those who support our New Story work in the world. If you feel inspired to gift from your heart and be a part of our gift ecology network, we would love to welcome you with open hearts and arms to cocreate the more loving and beautiful world our hearts know is possible, as our dear friend Charles Eisenstein says!
