It was a magical week at Findhorn Foundation in Scotland for the Conference on Climate Change & Consciousness: Our Legacy for the Earth #CCC19. Elders, youth, indigenous, activists, and leaders from over 40 countries gathered to explore the intersection of climate change and consciousness. Findhorn Community, in all her spring glory, was the perfect setting for this momentous gathering.
I gained renewed inspiration for and affirmation of my work with sustainable communities. I’m reconnected to the place from which I want my work to come from – the land, joyfulness, and celebration of diversity.
Thank you to all the organizers and caretakers for creating an unforgettable experience! Enjoy the photos as my thanks to all of you 🙂
Let’s polly-nate the world with our stubborn optimism!
Polly Higgins spirit was felt throughout the Conference days. Her passing on Easter Sunday deeply touched us all.
“Use stubborn optimism. This is not a result of successes. Celebrate success, yes. But that’s not optimism. Optimism is how you bring yourself to the topic. It sort of determines the result. If you come with pessimism, probably you’re not going to change anything. We have to be able to address climate change. We don’t have another option to not do it. Being optimistic is my choice. This is my input into the challenge, it is not the result of success.” ~ Christiana Figueres
