Today the Community celebrates 55 years of service to the transformation of consciousness in everyday life. And we honour all of you around the world who have made a contribution in your own unique way to this Centre of Light.
17 November was a carefully considered day on which to mark the birth of the Centre. In fact, it is celebrated by the Tibetans as the most auspicious day of the year. Anything started on this day is said to be blessed one thousandfold! And blessed we are indeed.
When founders Peter and Eileen Caddy, along with Dorothy Maclean, planted the seed for Findhorn in 1962, it contained within it particular magnetic qualities which would be made manifest in the Centre as a place of love, light, peace and wisdom. What makes the seed magnetic is the embodiment of these qualities in a place of demonstration.
Of course, as a diverse collection of human beings from different cultures and backgrounds, we are not without our shadow. However, one of the deep lessons of this mystery school is to consciously work with the shadow and bring all of the unresolved parts of ourselves into the light for healing and transformation. Not always an easy task and most certainly a work in process! Gratefully, we are supported by intentional processes and beings both seen and unseen in this profoundly transformative individual and collective soul journey.
Today we celebrate the founding principles that have sustained the Centre as part of an evolutionary movement taking place all over the planet to birth a new story for humanity, a new society based on the embodiment and demonstration of spiritual values.
This short video gives a flavour of the Centre today and shows how it has grown whilst staying true to the original mission contained in the magnetic seed planted all those decades ago.
With deep gratitude and blessings of love, light, peace and wisdom to you from the Findhorn Foundation and Community.
